The two higher education institutions of Oulu: the Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oulu UAS) and University of Oulu welcome you to choose from several different international degree programmes in different disciplines. Both institutions offer high quality education and rank among the Finland's largest higher education institutions. In addition to the international degrees available, finding the institution that is right for you depends on your academic interests, educational background and career plans.
The Finnish higher education, which Oulu's institutions are part of, consists of two complementary sectors: universities and universities of applied sciences. Both institutions offer higher education degrees of different levels, but function according to a different education system and degree structure. The institutions and degrees are recognised by the Finnish Ministry of Education.
