Oulu University of Applied Sciences
Oulu University of Applied Sciences, is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Finland with almost 9,000 students. In addition to the city of Oulu, Oulu UAS has campuses in the towns of Oulainen and Raahe (75 km south of Oulu).
Oulu UAS has seven schools that offer multifield-education on both Bachelor and Master levels. There are 30 programmes leading to a higher professional qualification (B.Sc. hons), from which three programmes are international programmes taught entirely in English. On the Master's level, there are nine Master's programmes of which two are conducted in English and lead to a new type of a Finnish Master degree.
Together with local enterprises, Oulu UAS has a strong focus on the applied research and development activities in its core areas. These activities ensure the quality of education and constant development of the university. Studies are practically oriented: practical training is included in the studies and most students write their thesis in conjunction with the companies.
Internationalisation is an important part of the education, teaching and research of Oulu UAS. The wide international network of partner universities and active international student and staff exchange provide the students with an opportunity to study in an international environment. In addition to the 250 international exchange students that Oulu UAS hosts yearly, there are more than 200 international students from all over the world pursuing their entire degree.
You are welcomed by the Rector of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the Student Union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences and by the rest of the academic community.
