Both higher education institutions have active student unions that offer a wide range of services, activities and support for all students -see how the student unions could become a part of your student life.

OSAKO, the Student Union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences is a service and support organisation for students in Oulu University of Applied Sciences. All students of Oulu University of Applied Sciences can become members of the student union.

OYY, the Student Union of the University of Oulu promotes the educational, social and welfare interests of students. The Student Union forms a forum for students to debate and get together. All undergraduate students of the University of Oulu are members of the Student Union of the University of Oulu (OYY). At the moment there are over 12,000 members.
