Excellent study facilities

All the university campuses have excellent teaching facilities and resources with modern, well-equipped lecture rooms, laboratories and specialised equipment. The wide information technology resources at each campus ensure the students easy and free access to computers. The Wireless Local Area Network panOULU offers the students the possibility to connect to the Internet via laptop computer anywhere at the campuses as well as in the city centre of Oulu.

Both higher education institutions have free and top quality library services focused on serving the students, studies and the research. The library at the University of Oulu has seven different units and the Library of Oulu University of Applied Sciences offers library services in eight different locations. You may also use the library services online. In addition to study and research material, libraries offer rooms and facilities for computer work and for independent studying.

Oulu University of Applied Sciences has six different schools that function in five different campuses in Oulu and in two different campuses that are in the towns of Oulainen and Raahe (app.100 km from Oulu). The University of Oulu is located in two campuses, Linnanmaa campus and Kontinkangas campus (Faculty of Medicine). In addition, the Department of Architecture is situated in its own premises in the city centre.
